Web & software development company seeks an experienced Programmer Analyst / Applications Developer with a track record of career stability and a desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing, maintaining, documenting, testing, implementing and supporting new applications for new software products for national rollout
• Updating, enhancing, upgrades and maintaining existing applications for existing clients
• Participating in all stages of software development, including proposal, analysis, program design, coding, development, systems integration, testing, training, technical and end-user documentation, deployment, and systems support for B to C software solutions in a hosted and stand-alone environment
• Designing, developing and maintaining forms, templates, macros, scripts and application programs
• Provide occasional telephone support for client issues related to an in-house developed or maintained application
• Recommend strategies for improving existing software and isolate existing problem areas
• Assist with research and evaluation of new technologies to enhance overall product line
• Analyze, develop, code, test, document, implement, maintain and support applications for in house systems
• Recommend development standards
• Develop and conduct training for in-house applications and performs advanced end-user support
• Analyze existing systems, procedures and business practices, improve system performance and operational capabilities
• Analyze the appropriate application of new technologies to the workflow challenges and makes recommendations and implement solutions. Assures minimal system and application downtime, maximum data reliability, integrity, validity and security.
• Propose long range systems development plans, develop daily work plans, and sets priorities among competing demands
• Evaluates technology products for applicability

Required Skills:

• BS degree
• Min. 2 years of PC programming and system analysis experience in the web development or software development business
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft VB.Net to develop complex client/server applications that use Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Microsoft Visual BASIC 6.0, C#, SQL Reporting Services
• MCSD-.Net Certification
• MCDBA Certification a plus

Plus Skills:

• Wise Installer
• E-Commerce programming
• SEO/SEM in an E-Commerce environment

Non-Tech Skills:

• Good communication skills
